England was the first team to announce its 15-man squad for the ICC Men’s Champions Trophy 2025 on December 22.
Rohit Sharma will captain the 15-man Indian cricket team in the Champions Trophy 2025.
Australia had announced a 15-man squad for the Champions Trophy, but later all-rounder Mitchell Marsh, captain Pat Cummins, and fast bowler Josh Hazlewood were ruled out of the tournament due to injury. Marcus Stoinis also withdrew his name from the team after deciding to retire from ODIs. The names of the replacements for these players have not been announced yet.
Corbin Bosch has now been included in the team in place of South African fast bowler Anrich Nortje, who was ruled out of the tournament due to a back injury.
Meanwhile, hosts Pakistan, led by Mohammad Rizwan, were the last to announce their team. As per ICC rules, all teams had to announce their final squad for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 by February 11.

In 2016, the ICC announced that the Champions Trophy would be canceled after the 2017 tournament. The ICC’s goal was to hold a tournament for each of the three formats of international cricket. However, in November 2021, the ICC announced that the tournament would return in 2025. It will be the first global tournament to be hosted by Pakistan since the 2009 attack on the Sri Lanka national cricket team. The last major tournament to be held in Pakistan was in 1996 when they co-hosted the World Cup with India and Sri Lanka.
